Carlsbad, CA – May 30, 2017 – TC Technology announces Redding Electric Utility is equipping underground inspectors with MIMS Mobile. The project also includes an upgrade to MIMS 2017 and a rollout of GPS-enabled patrol inspections supporting transmission assets.
REU has been providing safe, reliable energy to the Redding community since 1921. Redding, the “Second Sunniest City in the U.S.,” nestled in Northern California amid magnificent landscapes, miles of hiking and biking trails, with the Sacramento River running through it, is an outdoor paradise. REU is locally-owned by its community and locally-controlled by the Redding City Council. REU provides some of the lowest, most competitive rates to approximately 44,000 residential and business customers within the City of Redding’s 61 square mile service area.
MIMS Mobile is used every day by thousands of utility staff in compliance, engineering and operations departments to support service order, work order, system inspection, maintenance management, compliance management and asset management processes. It is a standalone, offline end-user application that streamlines any type of field work by combining intuitive maps with forms.
