Gainesville Regional Utilities Signs ELA with TC Technology

Carlsbad, CA – December 27, 2016- TC Technology announces Gainesville Regional Utilities upgraded to an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) of MIMS.

Gainesville Regional Utilities is a multi-service utility owned by the City of Gainesville. It is the 5th largest municipal electric utility in Florida and provides to Gainesville and the surrounding unincorporated areas electric to approximately 90,000 customers, natural gas to approximately 36,000 customers, and water and reclaimed water to approximately 70,000 customers.

With unlimited access to MIMS, Gainesville Regional Utilities anticipates several initiatives over the next 5-years. The initial roll-out achieves widespread use by replacing three outdated applications with MIMS Mobile, a modern mapping and inspection software built with Esri’s ArcGIS Runtime. Future possibilities include additional software replacement, targeted workflow improvements, and integration with corporate systems.

MIMS, which stands for mobile information management system, targets return on investment for utilities by automating paper processes, streamlining tasks, and presenting helpful mapping to field workers. Solutions include service orders, outage incidents, system inspections, maintenance management, automated staking and design, construction work orders, as-built inspections, regulatory compliance, damage assessment, vegetation management, and more.
