Carlsbad, CA June 21, 2010
– – TC Technology, a leader in mobile GIS, announces that POWER Constructors, Inc. (PCI) is using GO! Sync Mobile GIS to perform transmission line construction inspections for an electric utility in Florida.
The intuitive ArcGIS-based solution was selected as an improvement over paper and enables inspectors to easily record progress and automatically updates project information systems. This geocentric technology has greatly enhanced inspectors’ ability to keep the entire project team armed with current status and results include a clear operational picture of construction, improved decisions based upon accurate perspective, and overall increased confidence in the project’s reported state.
In early 2009, PCI was contracted to perform the design and construction management of an important upgrade to Florida’s transmission grid. Construction started in December and runs through the early summer 2010. Every workday various inspections are conducted as a part of project record keeping and assessment.
Using GO! Sync Mobile GIS for transmission construction inspections is one of its many uses. GO! Sync Mobile GIS offers viewing, sketching, inspecting, workflow integration, and AVL solutions. Used across the nation by large and small organizations, GO! Sync Mobile is affordable, straightforward to deploy, and built with ESRI technology.
